5th Annual Drive 4 Education Golf Classic

The 5th Annual Drive for Education Classic was held Saturday, August 20th, 2011 at the Falls Village Golf Club. This was our fifth and most successful year conducting the tournament. The participants enjoyed a beautiful August day, a top-notch tournament on a well manicured course. We started off with a luncheon (provided by Chick-fil-A) and topped it off by a scrumptious buffet (provided by the QShack) and an awards ceremony. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds from this event will fund BDNG scholarships. The twosome of Keith Steward and Doug Martin won the Men's Upper flight with a final score of 67. (2011)

The twosome of Byron Smith and Ray Smith won the Men's Lower flight with a final score of 71. (2011)

The twosome of April Gibson and Melodi Phillip won the Ladies flight with a score of 85. (2011)

Other winners were Cedric Cheek- closest to the pin (Men), Arthur Davis, Jr.- longest drive (Men), and Melodi Phillip- longest drive and closest to the pin (Women) (2011).
